Main Meetings
Where: - HLT3 (Holdenby) This is on park campus and is in Holdenby. If you go though the Holdenby reception doors and go past the security desk, continue straight on, turn right halfway down the corridor you'll arive at the the HLT3 lecture theatre.
When: - Every Tuesday 7:30 - 8:45
What: - Here's what happens every week:
- We have a talk, each week a different speaker comes from a local church in Northampton so that we can be taught from God's Word to be better equipped to live for Jesus and speak for Jesus.
- We hear about events that are happening - so we know how we can be involved in God's work through the CU.
- We pray together - to thank and praise God, and to ask Him to work in students' lives by telling us to do what he wants us to do. (see also: Prayer Meetings)
- We sing songs - to collectively thank, praise and worship God for who He is, for all He's done for us and for what he's doing here in Northampton.
- We chat to each other at the end of the meeting - so that through fellowship we can support one another to live for Jesus and speak for Jesus more effectively.
Sometimes we have an evening meeting of Prayer and Praise, where we have an extended session of singing and having different prayer stations around the room.
Why: - The weekly meetings helps us as a CU and individual to focus on the importance of mission and spreading God's word. Also it helps us grow in our personal relationship with Jesus and hear what God wants us to do.
